On Day Five, we had to wait out the rest of the storm for the better part of the day. The kids played, watched movie's, ate and napped most of the morning into the afternoon. After the girls got up from their naps we went over to a beach near us and looked for seashells. The tide was still pretty rough so there was no getting in the water but there we a ton of great sea shells washed up on the beach. Macy and Grace used the sand dunes as a slide (with the encouragement of Pop). They had a lot of fun. There are definitely interesting things washed up on the beach after a big storm like that. Shoes, bottles, stained (yes a complete set of stairs in tact and freshly stained) and various other items.
That night Pop and the girls had a "Popcorn Party". Pop had popcorn parties every night at the beach and they were a big hit with Macy and Grace. They got a little silly that night though. They stood up on top of the cooler and sang songs. We all laughed harder than we'd laughed in a while. Don't worry we have video...more to come on that.
