Memorial Day Vacation

Jason and I took Macy and Laney to Washington DC this weekend. We drove up yesterday and stayed at Jack and Mary Whitley's house (friends of Jason's parents). Today we battled the crowds and the heat at the National Zoo. We rode the metro in, which was very exciting to Laney. She laughed he whole way there. Here are some Pictures of highlights

First thing this morning they were ready to go. Packed in the double stroller with their "Thing 1" and Thing 2" shirts on.

Then Macy got to see her first Panda Bear. It was a big hit. We battled the biggest crowd at this exhibit.

After that we ate lunch....Most of Macy's was feed to the birds

Then we got to see the......ELEPHANTS!!!! Macy kept asking were Scotty was. She couldn't understand why the baby elephant at the Louisville Zoo wasn't at the National Zoo. Either that or she thinks that there is only one zoo.

Then she had time to pose for a picture with the tiger....which is very hard to see
When we decided it was enough we stopped at the gift shop and got 2 shirts, a puzzle and the biggest hit....at stuffed panda bear for Laney.Oh........But the day wasn't over after we left. Macy got to "ride" a Jet-Ski.

And take a bath in a real bath tub!!!!!!!!!
